200th Blog!

Ok, so in one of my past blogs I mentioned how I didn't want to call "him" my boyfriend ... Well I couldn't figure out a name for him without being disrespectful or rude to him. So, I guess I'm stuck with the term "boyfriend." In my last blog I mentioned that we were going to go to the race track to go see the horses race. We went early in the morning (11am ish) It was awesome! Ive never been to a race, ever! I felt like a kid going to Disneyland for the first time. When we walked in the venue, they gave us free beach umbrellas. He hates carrying things, and so do I but we didn't want to walk back to the car cause it was way too far. When we walked inside, it reminded me a lot of the dodger stadium. Instead of seeing gangstas I saw elderly ppl betting on horses :) There were going to be 11 races that day. We betted on every race. I didn't win shit. I was betting on the horses with the cutest/coolest names (maybe that's why I lost lol) Him on the other hand,was betting on their past performances and what not. I betted on a horse named SOUL CANDY! I told him that I wanted to bet on that horse because I thought that the horse was bisexual and he had a fierce name lol He probably thought I was crazy for having such thoughts. But whatever lol Soul Candy lagged it and he lost so I lost the bet. Oh well. 

After the race tracks we headed back to LA because we had plans for a triple date with his friends. It took us an hour to get back to LA, there was so much traffic. We went to go eat before we met up with the others. I was a little hesitant to meet up with them because I thought it was going to be so fucking awkward and uncomfortable for ME because it was just out of my comfort zone. You know those kids who go to the playground with their mom and they don't want to play with the other kids, they just hide behind their mom the whole time? Well, that was me yesterday lol We met up with them at the bowling alley. The two other couples were there already. We were the last ones to show up. We walked in, I was holding his hand. I was a little nervous to be honest. We said our hello's and we went straight to the shoe rental. I swear I stuck by him like glue. I reminded myself of that little girl at the playground. He was my comfort zone lol After we got our shoes we went to the lanes. This was my first time bowling so I was prepared to lose. 

Everyone else was pretty good at it including my bf. I was so scared to go up. I hit only one pin on my first try, after my turn I went straight toward him and he was waiting for me with open arms telling me it was ok lol (I felt a little better haha) After a couple turns I got the hang of it and everyone said I did a pretty good job for being my first time (that's what he/she said). During the time that we were there everyone was cheering for each other and being cool about it. After bowling we went to Shakeys. OMG we sat down and there was a little kids birthday party behind us and omg they were SO fucking loud! Thank God I had taken 2 tylenols prior to us going there! phew! Once the food arrived we all started talking like no other. You know when everyone talks at the same time and you don't let the other person finish cause you're so eager to tell your side of the story? Well, that's what happened lol Overall it was really fun. Today at work it was SO boring. I've never been that bored in my life. It was horrible. If it wasn't for texting Soleil and my bf I would have lost my mind. It was SO slow! There was NOTHING to do! Ugh, I would have rather stayed home and NOT make money than to have to go in on a boring as day. Seriously . . . 

I'm going to go. I'm watching the grammys as I wrote this blog :) 

Wow, Only 2 blogs for January 2010

I haven't written one of these in a while. I missed it to be honest. I've been busy, I guess. I've been working a lot, kinda, sorta. Also, being in a relationship is very fucking time consuming. I feel like there's not enough hours in a day! (That sounds lame, but its true) I have to make time for work, my friends, him, and time for ME. It's funny how this one person changes your normal routine. In a way, its great because I hate routines. Anyway, Im sure everyone wants to know whats new with me and him lol This week or last week (I forgot) I changed my relationship status on facebook to "In a Relationship" and omg the next day or so when I went to work, a lot of people asked me who the guy was. I was walking to work and one of my co workers told me "This is so exciting, I want to know who he is! Everyone wants to know!" I told her "Calm down!" THEN, when I went into the office one of the sweetest co workers ever said to me "Karla, I heard you have a boyfriend. That's so cute!" I said "Omg ________! How do YOU know?!" She told me that 2 people told her. But nobody knows who he is (yet) They just know that I'm seeing someone :) This feels like a movie sometimes. 

Ok, so me and mystery man are doing great! We're taking things slowly but surely. Tmrw is going to be ONE month. ONE MONTH, time goes by too fast. We're going to go to the Santa Anita Race Tracks. We're going to go see the horsies race! I've never done that, so I'm excited! :) Ok, thats all I'm going to say about him. Moving on . . . 

Soleil had her Barbie themed birthday this month! Everyone had to go dressed up as a barbie (or ken) It was fun! Me and Sergio helped out with the decorations. Party planning is tough! I give props to party planners they must have a lot of patience!

What else happened this month . . . . um . . . . OH! Wednesday night we had the premier for "When in Rome" at my job and omg that was the best premiere that I've worked at! I saw so many celebz! It was insane! I saw THE MIZ! I got hugged my Seth Green!! It was awesome!I was behind the snack bar and Seth Green was in front of me with his girlfriend and he asked me if he can please have an Icee. I said that I wasnt suppose to give them out, but that I would ask my boss. I asked my boss that Seth Green wanted an Icee he said it was ok for me to give him one. So, I went behind Seth and I said "Ok, what color?" and he said "Are you serious?! OMG" and thats when he hugged me and he said that he wanted the red one, but then he asked if he could have it mixed instead! :) He was so nice lol Then Fergie was standing in front of me for like 20 minutes, she looks different in person. Then I saw Kristin from the hills. That girl needs to eat a sandwich, she is way too thin! Then I saw Rose Mcgowen! She's beautiful! Then I saw Justing Long, and all these other celebz! It was fun! :) 

I feel like Im leaving someting BIG out, but I dont remember right now. Hmm . . . . To be continued.

Sorry this blog is boring, Im not feeling too good right now. Im sure Im gonna get sick soon. I have a soar throat and Im sneezing :(

When You Least Expect It

Why in the hell do people start noticing you when you are NO longer single?? Seriously. Once you're officially taken by someone, that's when people start realizing "Oh, you're pretty awesome wanna hang out?" Um . . . NO! Where were you months ago?! But everything happens for a reason, even if its when you least expect it.

I'm dating someone who I didn't think I would date. It started accidentally on purpose, if that makes any sense. I'm not going to say HOW we started dating because some people will figure out who he is and I don't want that. We both agreed to not tell anyone . . . yet. Before we started dating, I thought he was so sweet and a cool person to talk to. Now, that we're getting to know each other I'm seeing this other side of him and I'm impressed. He's so unconditionally respectful, he's very gentle, he treats me like a fragile doll. The kisses on the forehead and nose is the cutest feeling in the world. I do get the butterflies in my tummy when I see him lol Time goes by way too fast when were hanging out. Way TOO fast. We just want this to work out so it can turn into something amazing. We've been dating for a short period of time, and I've become the girl that I swore I would never want to be. Yeah . . .

I always have my cell phone with me at ALL times, now that I'm seeing this person I have my cell phone pretty much glued on to me at ALL times. I know that when I wake up there's going to be a text from him saying his good nights (because I didn't get to read it the night before because I knocked out), or his good mornings. He loves sports. All sports. I don't care for sports. Last night I went over, and he was watching the football game. I walked in and he said "Don't worry, it's almost over babe. They have 13 minutes left." I said "Ok, Good" hahaha He knows that I don't understand football. When we went out on a date he told me "Don't worry, you'll get it. We'll watch a game together one day." Last night was that night. Anyway, here's the dialogue of last night lol

Him: "You see the ones in the orange?"

Me: "Yes"

Him: "That's the team that I'm going for"

Me: "Ok"

Him: "This is the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl 2010. Its the Boise State Broncos and the TCU Horned Frogs."

Me: "Uh huh . . ."

Then he starts explaining why the ref threw the yellow flags, and how the team has to go more yards and all these football terms were being thrown at me. I tried to understand, I really did but I didn't get it. At the end, the team that he was going for WON the game. Woo Hoo!

Him: "Ok babe, whats the name of the team that just won?"

Me: "Shit. Um ... Broncos?"

Him: "YES! (hahaha) Where are they from?"

Me: "Um . . . Idaho?"

Him: "Close enough!" hahaha

After the game he asked what I wanted to watch, we ended up watching the only close-enough-to-a-chick flick movie that was available in his whole apartment. THE BREAKUP lol We've both seen this movie already before, but I haven't seen it in a while so we watched it :) THE END. (Its not really the end, I'm just not going to go into detail of what we talked about and what not)

Enough of the mushy stuff.

Happy New Year! hahaha I'm a couple days late, but whatever I've been busy :) My new years was pretty relaxing, I didn't do anything crazy. This year is going to be awesome though. It just has to be :) Work has been pretty slow. They've cut our hours BIG time. I still get a couple days a week, but not as many as before. I hope it picks up pretty soon, cause I got bills to pay :( Today was so much fun at work. Me and 2 of my kick ass co workers had to clean and clean and CLEAN the concession area of the theater. Omg, I'm sure I'm going to wake up sore tomorrow morning. We cleaned our ass off today. I haven't cleaned like that in a really long time. We were on our knees scrapping crap off the floor, we got 409 all over our clothes, my sweat pants had nasty tape residue on it. Time went by fast though, me and my two co workers talked about everything. It was fun :) After I got out of work __________ (I dont like the word boyfriend, it's so ... middle school. But HE/HIM) asked if I was going to go over. I said no cause (1) I was too tired. I was probably just going to fall as sleep on him and be boring. (2) I smelled like 409 (3) I didnt look cute. I was wearing sweat pants lol I gave him my three reasons and he told me that it was ok, to just go home and rest :) I did. I came come dyed my hair and now im here writing this blog. Im about to knock out though. I really am tired!

Wonder Hangers!

Today I went to Rite Aid and I bought a box of WONDER HANGERS. You know, the ones from the infomercials! I needed these BADLY, I seriously had NO MORE room in my closet. I had a pile of new clothes on my bed with nowhere to be stored. NOW, I have room with the help of the handy dandy WONDER HANGERS! Wooo!

Merry Christmas!

Yesterday me and my mom went to the mall in Glendale. The parking was a nightmare! After a couple circles around the lot, we finally found parking! I had to find a gift for my grandma! We went straight to the Disney store. I wanted to get her a sweater and a couple shirts. OMG they didnt have crap! All they had was leftover shirts, crappy toys and DVDs, and the line to pay was insane! At the end of our shopping spree, I got something for my grandma, my mom, my friend (his bday is this Sunday), two of my other friends, and of course I got myself more things :) After we left the mall, we went to go pick up my grandma and we went to go have dinner. Then we went back to my grandmas house to open our gifts! She gave me a shirt (that I picked out a couple weeks ago), a SNUGGIE!, and my DKNY perfume! Here are some pictures.

Call Me Fluffy

I don't know how to describe yesterday. Yesterday I went to work in the morning. After work I went home to get Sergio's and Soleil's gift. We were going to have a gift exchange at Sergio's house and watch a movie. The whole plan was to go home, go to the gas station, go to the market to buy chips and soda, go pick up Soleil, and head out to Sergio's house. I left my house, I was on my way to the gas station. When I got there, there was a line to get IN the gas station. I was waiting in line in the driveway to get in. There was an olive green SUV in front of me. OUT OF NOWHERE the asshole backs up into my car really fast! BAM! He hits my car! He gets out the car, I get out the car. I saw my light hanging from a wire. I started yelling at him! WTF!! Does he not look at his FUCKING MIRRORS WHEN HE BACKS UP?! After I saw the damage I went in the car to grab paper and pen to get his license plates and by the time I got out the car he was IN HIS CAR FUCKING LEAVING!!! He booked it! OMG I froze. I didn't know what to do. I was standing there hold pen and paper trying to figure out what the fuck just happened. I called my dad and I told him what happened. He got pissed off. He yelled, cursed, hanged up on me. I went inside the gas station and asked the lady if she can rewind the cameras to see if we can get the license plate number. We couldn't see the license plate number on the fucking video. You could only see the side of his fucking car. At that point I was so angry and pissed off I started crying. I called Soleil in tears and I told her that I wasn't going to go anymore because of what had happened. I called my mom and she told me to go home. I didn't want to go home, because I was angry at my dad for blaming for something that was out of my control! I drove home. As I was driving home, I heard a part fall from the car. I literally stopped in the middle of the street, put my emergency lights on and I got out the car and picked up a piece of plastic that detached itself from the damage. When I got home, I parked outside and I stayed in my car the whole time. I text Soleil, and I told her that I felt like shit and I didn't want to go inside my house. Her and her boyfriend text me and told me it was going to be ok. She told me that her and Sergio were on their way and that I wasn't alone :) It reminded me of that scene in one of the Sex and City episodes where Miranda is home alone for New Years, and Carrie runs over to her house in stilettos and her pajamas to keep her company :)

While I was waiting for them, my mom showed up from work and she stayed in the car with me. She was saying that it was ok, that it could get fixed. Then Soleil called me and she told me that they were there already. I drove the car the driveway and they saw the damage. It was so WINDY, omg! Then my mom drove the car into the garage and I left with Sergio and Soleil. On our way to his house we stopped by the market to get chips and soda. Then Sergio ordered LA GIGANTE from Pizza Loca! OMG its the biggest pizza ever for only $10!! OMG, this whole time I've been wasting my money at pizza hut! When we got to Sergio's house we opened gifts first. Sergio got a snuggie from me and he got the Terminator DVD, and a 4GB card for his camera from Soleil. Soleil got a purple lipstick from MAC from me, and she got The Wizard of OZ from Sergio. I got a leopard print wallet, and minnie mouse slippers from Sergio, and I got white chucks from Soleil and Manny :) THEN we ate pizza! OH! At the market I bought kool aid little plastic bottles. You know, the ones we used to drink when we were little? YEAH THOSE!

After we ate, we watched Home Alone 2! That movie is so funny :) After the movie, we had a minnie stage show with our mickey slippers. First, Sergio did a little light show with Lady Gaga. OMG that was too funny! I was in tears cause I was laughing so hard LOL Then me and Sergio had a little waltz going on with our fluffy, swollen slippers! Then Sergio danced with Soleil! LMAO He fell so many times lol He has wooden floors in his house, so it was slippery with the slippers on hahaha After the dancing, Sergio showed us a video that he put together from our trip to NY! It's so funny! We should have filmed more haha Next time, next time!

Then Sergio and his sister dropped me and Soleil off. I swear they made my day after that shitty incident at the gas station! I have the greatest friends ever! =D

Rolling With The Homies

The guys at work almost drove me insane today. I worked with two horny, loud, hilarious Philippinos and one other guy who doesn't really count b/c he was pretty much invisible. I say that he was pretty much invisible because he disappeared half the time to go see his gf, and half the time I honestly forgot he was even there. So for the 7pm show the two Philippinos were with me behind the snack bar and the other one was at the VIP concession. When they started to let in, one of the guys started singing/yelling my name in a high pitch tone! He kept saying "Kaaaaaaaar - laaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!" VERY high pitched and LOUD! At first it was funny, but after the 63rd time, I started to get a little annoyed. I was the only one on register and we had a line! Every time a guest would come up, my co worker would say "Kaaaaaaaaar - laaaaaaaaaaaa!!!" In a high pitched singing tone! OMG! I almost went crazy! During the middle of all this chaos, this man standing in line yells out "HEY! Jeniffer Gardner!!!!!" And omg everyone in line including us behind the snack bar looked over and sure enough, it was Jen Gardner and other guest being escorted by security to their seats. What an ass! Who would yell out a celeb like that!? Seriously. She was there with her kid trying to be discreet and this asshole comes out of nowhere and just puts her on blast! Moron . . . .

Im still not done christmas shopping. Yeah, I know. Tomorrow we're having a gift exchange at Sergio's house and his gift is not even in Cali yet, it's somwhere in the middle of the country on its way to my house. THEN I only have ONE of Soleils gifts. I really dont know what to get her. I was going to get her the planner she wanted, but then I was looking at them and the ones that I thought were awesome might have not been cute to HER. Then I went looking for clothes for her and again, I thought that she might not like what I picked out cause we have different tastes. So, now Im back to square one. If I get her a gift card, she might get mad :( I'll explain myself tomorrow. Shit.

I've gotten a couple christmas gifts already. I opened ALL of them! My mom and grandma know that they have to give me the gifts the day OF Christmas because I'll open them before hahaha Oh wait! Yesterday my mom gave me Hello Kitty earrings! :) I wore them today :) Today one of our stage managers went to the snack bar and she said "OMG Karla!! I love your makeup!! You look so pretty!" I said "Thanks!!" Then one of the elderly co workers comes over and the stage manager tells her "Look! Doesn't her makeup look mesmerizing?!" At the point I started to feel uncomfortable. That was too many compliments in a matter of minutes. Then she tells me "Close your eyes, let me see!" So, I did. Then she said "Is that gel eye liner?" I said "Yes" Then she asked what brand I use and blah blah blah At this point the two philippinos started to stare at my face lol Then I walked away cause I felt weird hahaha

I have something to say to someone about something that someone told me. My friend told me to keep my mouth shut and NOT say anything . . . Im going to take his advice.

You Spin Me Right Round Baby Right Round

Today after work I rushed it to the grove to meet up with one of my friends. We went to go see BROTHERS. That movie was SO good! I really liked it! I give it a 10 out of 10! A+! I didn't cry, but my eyes got teary eyed . . . in a couple of scenes. After the movie we went to TOAST (on 3rd St.) OMG there's NO parking what so ever there! I went around the block SO many times hoping to find parking! But, NOTHING! All the parking in that area are parking for ppl with permits. After many circles around the block we found a parking spot right next to the restaurant! :) We grabbed a table outside. Everyone else were sitting inside the restaurant. I wanted to sit outside. Plus, it wasn't that cold :) We both ordered hot chocolate! :) Mmm! And I ordered "The Lemus" Its a grilled sandwich with chicken breast, salsa, avocado, spinach, cheese, on ciabatta bread. It was SOOOOO GOOD!!!! The bread was just right! The cheese was delicious! Mmm! Good! Good!

Our waitress was very nice! She said that we were brave for having dinner out in the cold :) The service was great, they refilled our water without us asking. They were polite and friendly! :) I'm definitely going back there again! Our next restaurant that we're going to go to is JOANS ON THIRD! 

 

 

After dinner we went to TARGET! Wooo! I love target! We went to go START on our xmas shopping lol I went to get 2 people their gifts from there. For the first person, I couldnt find what they wanted. For the second person, someone else already bought what I was going to give him. So I asked person #2 to send me a brand new list of goodies that they want so I can pick from that. He did! Now, I have a lot of options, thank God! haha For person #1 I have to go look at another store tmrw after work for his gift :) 

At target I bought all the bows, wrapping paper, and name tags already. They're SO cute! Im going to cut this blog short. Im tired and sleepy :( Goodnight readers!
