Last night me and panda went out on a date. He's been wanting to see this foreign film called, "BIUTIFUL." So, in the afternoon we went to Los Feliz 3 Theater to go watch it. I've never been to that theater before, ever. I tried to see "Sex and the City" a couple years ago but it was sold out so I never went inside. I heard a lot of bad things about this theater, that it was dirty, the seats are so uncomfortable, blah blah blah. So, when I walked in I was expecting the worst. Surprise! Surprise! The theater was beyond nice! I guess they remodeled it or something, idk. It was super clean, the carpet looked new, the seats were fake leather, they were comfy, the snack bar was so small and cute, the box office was nice! Overall the theater itself was great. I loved it! So the entrance was $6.50. We were in auditorium #2. When I walked in, I was so amused of how cute and intimate the theater actually was. It only had 60 seats, the screen was a mini one. It was like your own personal theater! It was us, two old women, two young guys, one women, and two young girls in there. All 9 of us sat our asses down for 2 1/2 hours.
The movie was great. I definitely cried. This movie and I had a connection. If you understand Spanish, and have patience to sit through a 2 1/2 hour movie, then by all means go watch it! You're going to cry your eyes out. If you don't cry do yourself a favor, put your right hand over your heart and check if your heart is even there! I give this movie a 10/10!
After the movie, we were deciding where to go for dinner. We had so many options. There were restaurants to our left, to our right, in front of us, and behind us. We decided to go to this Italian restaurant a couple doors up. It was called PALERMO. When we walked by there were 2 people outside eating. So I thought, "Oh its not that packed." OMG when we opened the doors to go inside, there were about 1,408,743,107 people there! It was packed! We went up to the host and we requested our table for two :) There were other couples there, there were families, cops, elderly people. Everybody was there. As people were waiting for their tables, the hostess was handing out slices of pizza, wine, soda, beer to people! I guess they feed you for free while you wait! Ive never seen a restaurant do that. Once we got our table, they gave us 2 slices of pizza (free) while we decided on what to order. Once we placed our order we waited about 20 minutes for our food. Seriously, this beats olive gardens ass BIG TIME! The food is so delicious and GOOD! Geez! The portion sizes are enormous! (Trust me when I say that!) The pizza is perfect, the cheese is so good and ... UGH I don't even know how to describe it! Then we ordered spaghetti with Italian sausage (cochinos! Stop thinking wrong! ... Sergio! hahaha). Sooooo GOOD!
This is the pizza slices that they gave us while we decided on what to order.
BEST chicken noodle soup I've ever had!!
This garlic bread with sesame seeds was so buttery and yummy and warm! Ugh! Mmmm!!!!
Mmmmm!!!!!
We didn't finish our food lol We were beyond full! Panda took off his belt, and I unbuttoned my jeans. (I told you we were fatasses lol) I've met my match! We seriously couldn't breath hahaha
After we paid and tipped our nicest waiter ever. We were getting ready to leave, and the owner comes up to us and offered us a free dessert! We were like "wtf?" He was the nicest person ever! He offered panda a dessert, and he offered me a dessert. I told him, that just ONE was more than enough. He gave us a free slice of cheesecake. He said "Come on! Get one! We make everything ourselves! We don't order anything from anybody! We make our own cheesecake!" He was so proud of his restaurant, and his home made cheesecake lol Damn, that cheesecake was BOMB! hahahaha After we ate the cheesecake, we were walking towards the exit and we ran into the owner again and we thanked him so much for everything! He was SO nice! This restaurant had the nicest, most welcoming staff by FAR! We're definitely going to go back!
This is the place! Go! Go! Go!!!
As we were driving home, we stopped by to put gas in my car. These prices are insane, seriously! Thank God panda always helps me out with the gas $! Seriously! Im seriously considering taking the train to work when I have the morning shifts, cause gas is just TOO much right now! Today we're going to the musink festival in orange county, and Im dreading the gas that I'm going to waste by going over there! Ugh, oh well :(
OH! After dinner as we were walking to the car, I had to take a picture of the one and only Mia Wallace! She's so pretty :)
When we got to pandas house last night, I was SUPPOSED to clean all my makeup brushes! Buuuuuuuut I was way too full/sleepy/lazy/tired to do it lol
Alright this is all! Bye!
