I've been MIA for a while cause I've been a busy bee lately with work and all. I've also decided to STOP my picture of the day project. I just have NO time :( I always forget to take a picture, and if I DO take a picture it's most likely of what I ate that day lol At least I lasted a couple months hahaha
Alright so, I've been working every single day at my new job! I like that place. Its SO different from the theater (my other job). At the hospital its SO peaceful, and you work at your own pace. There's no leads there, the managers are in the office most of the time. You pretty much work on your own! I love it! I prefer the night shifts there though. I've met many patient visitors, police officers, nurses, doctors, etc. Everyone knows me as the "new girl." They're always saying "Ahhh you're the new girl right?? . . . . Well welcome to Cedars!" hahaha Everyone is so nice there :) The cooks are nice too! The one thing that I don't like about that place is the whole scheduling system. The week for them is from Friday -- Thursday, and the schedule comes out TWO days before we're suppose to work. So today I got my schedule for this Friday coming up. That's the only part that sucks. I cant plan anything ahead of time because I don't know what my schedule is going to be like.
Oh! So I noticed that almost everyone at my new job talks to me like I'm a little girl. Dont get me wrong, they don't talk to me like I'm stupid or anything. They're just like "Hi Karlita! . . . . Mija . . . . . . Hola nina . . . . How do you like it here sweety? . . . etc." You know what I mean? Idk how to further explain this :( It just feels a little weird sometimes. I feel like they don't see me as a 24 year old women. They see me as a 18 year old kid. Idk if its a good thing or a bad thing? Oh! Also, most of the cooks and the elderly Hispanic employees that work there speak to me in Spanish and I ALWAYS respond in English! hahaha I'm just a little self conscious of my stupid accent when I speak Spanish lol Everyone always says "Awwww you have an accent, its so cute!" or they say "Oh, you cant speak Spanish very well huh?" Ugh. I understand and write Spanish 100%, but speaking it its a little complicated sometimes lol
So, last Thursday I won 2 tickets to go see "Bridesmaids" at the Landmark theater in Westwood. I took my panda of course. The email said to arrive early blah blah blah. We got there about an hour and a half early. We only waited 30 minutes then they started letting us in. As we were going inside they stamp our hand just in case we wanted to come back out and buy from the concession stand. As we were waiting for the movie start, Perez Hilton walks to the front of the theater and introduces himself. He explained how he was rushing it to the theater because he had to get on his laptop and write a blog about how Ashton Kutcher is going to replace Charlie Sheen lol Then he also said that it's been a stressful week for him, and that he was ready to sit down, relax, and watch a movie. Then he went back to his seat (which was at the same row that me and panda were at) and the movie started.
OMG the movie was hilarious from beginning to end! I was in tears cause I was laughing so hard! hahaha At times I would look at the end of our row and look at Perez and he was just laughing so hard too! hahaha I most definitely recommend this movie to everyone! Even the guys will love it lol
Last night me and panda cooked together :) We made chicken tacos! He helped me shred the chicken, cause omg it was nasty to look at the veins and the fat hanging out! Gross! I hate doing that part of the cooking. Everything else was easy :) They came out SO good! Mmmm! Then he bought a big ass watermelon, cause I've been wanting watermelon for the longest! I cut it up and I put it in the fridge for a couple of hours. I like my watermelon COLD :) It was so GOOD! Mmm!! After we ate, we took a break and we ate again hahaha
I better go to bed, I have a LONG day tomorrow. Work. Work. Work. :)
Goodnight :)
