Last year in December I went to Paris, France. At that time I didn't have a blog. So I didn't get a chance to write about my experience and what not. So now, almost a year later Ive decided to post a blog about that trip! Here it goes!
Thursday December 4th, 2008 Soleil, Luz and myself got on a plane and we were heading over to PARIS, FRANCE! Here I am, at LAX waiting and PRAYING lol
I'm a little scared of flying haha We were waiting to get on the plane here. Passport and ticket? CHECK! 14 hours later, we ARRIVED at Paris, France!! Here we are inside the cab. We were on our way to our hotel. This is the view from our hotel room =) Yup, that's the Eiffel Tower behind me! We went to Mc. Donald's over there. They serve beer! OMG crepes! They were so good! I had mine with bananas! Mmm! A little messy, but it was yummy! This is how it looked like at night. The tree's were lit up =) This is the next day. Were on our way downstairs for breakfast. Our hotel provided free breakfast! This is what we had every morning, before we left the hotel. We were on our way to the catacombes! This was so pretty =) All those bones are HUMAN bones! Fo real! This is ED. It's like a rip off of 711. Kinda. This was at pere lachaise cemetery . . . Jim Morrison's grave Sacre Coeur. This church was really nice. This is what I called the "downtown LA" part of France. This was our hotel! Eiffel tower at night. Its so pretty =) Soleil getting her drink on hahaha This is the pyramid in the louvre! Sephora! Sephora! This is Mona Lisa inside the louvre Military man outside the louvre This is Notre Dame! After we visited the notre dame, we went to a subway near by and their sandwhiches tasted funky. I still ate mine, cause I was starving. But still, they were a little weird. This is the NEXT day! We were on our way to DISNEYLAND! OMG, we were in line for I dont know how long, but we were FREEZING our asses off! OMG. I couldnt believe it. I honestly felt like my toes were going to fall off and Soleil said my lips turned purple. It was horrible. After we took our pictures with the characters, we looked for somewhere warm to warm up a little before catch something. We went inside this guest services office and we sat on the floor. They were playing FINDING NEMO =) After, we headed over to the rides! After disneyland we went to SEPHORA . . . . AGAIN lol The day after, we went to a hello kitty store! Wooooo!!!! This is at Versailles! It snowed that day! Beautiful! After Versailles, we headed over the MAC Pro store! OMG I was in heaven. We arrived a couple minutes before they closed. It was fate! I don't remember what I bought. After MAC we went to go eat at this little restaurant near by and I ordered a burger, and this is what they gave me. They gave me mini potatoes, a beef patty with an egg on top, lettuce on the side, and a basket of bread. It was something different, but it was GOOD! The next day, which was my 22nd Birthday, we headed over the Eiffel Tower! This is the view from all the way from the very TOP. This is the best mall ever! After the mall, we went to this little restaurant. OMG they had the BEST burger ever! (I know, all we ate was burgers in FRANCE. Next time, I'll order something thats' NOT burgers! I promise!) Mmm! It was SO good! Iced Tea!! After dinner, we went on this cruise. This picture was taken while we were making line to get on the ship! Soleil was trying to suffocate me! After the cruise, we headed back to our hotel . . . We took so many pictures inside this elevator! we took this elevator everyday to go up to our room. Making phone calls! Our balcony =) I LOVE that head piece from disneyland! It was meant for ME! This right here was our shower. Do you see that?! There was no shower head. There was only that water hose looking thing. AND the glass outside the tub didn't cover the whole tub. We only had HALF the tub covered. So, we made a mess every time we showered. We used that little bucket to help make it easier lol THIS was our "blow dryer" Yeah. It sucked haha it took SO long for my hair to get dry =/ This was on our way to the airport. Poor taxi lady, she jammed our luggage in there really good. Us tree were in the backseat with our carry on, on our laps lol This is us on the airplane going back HOME =) I think this was our dinner. Yes, dinner. It was pretty good. I think they served us lunch too. I forgot. ICE! We had to stop in Detroit to get our next flight to LA! I swear, I dont know how ppl can be on a plane for that long. I almost went crazy! CRAZY! lol Beautiful! My momma gave me these when we arrived at LAX. THE END (My next trip is in NOVEMBER! We're going to NEW YORK! How exciting!)
I posted part 1 to this a while ago. Here it is Random Facts About Me Part 1 This is going to be part 2! =) Since its a continuation of part one, I'm starting with number 38.
(38) I love Target. I really do. (39) I always have a bottle of water next to my bed. ALWAYS. (40) I drink a lot, A LOT of water. I usually don't pee every couple of hours like normal people. I don't get the urge to pee until WAY later! BUT when I drink orange juice . . . uh oh! Now THAT makes me PEE! haha (41) I prefer going to a diner than to a fancy restaurant. (42) I HATE bills (Who doesn't?) (43) I wish I had Kat Corbett's job =( (44) I'm 5'3. Really. (45) I still have my corsage from prom. Its all still in tact ha This is my prom picture. This was in 2005. This guy that you see here, I had the biggest crush on him throughout high school! hahaha He was so adorable and cute and ... yeah ha This is him in 2009! (46) I love snickerdoodle cookies from 711! (47) Yes, I do hold grudges . . . for a long time too. (48) I really dislike linkin park. (49) I've never gone to the movies alone. But I want to one day. (50) I've never gone to a show alone. But I want to one day. (51) I used to watch DARIA all the time. I thought she was funny. (52) My mom & aunt dressed me up as Ms. Piggy when I was 4 yrs old. I still remember the smell of the rubber nose that I had to wear. (53) When I was younger I licked dry ice ad my tongue got stuck. I went inside my house crying and my dad poured warm water until my tongue was free lol
Today I went to go have lunch at HOME with Jessica. I really like that restaurant. The food is good and the people there are nice. The waiters/waitresses are not snoby like at other places. The first time that I went to HOME I ordered the chicken avocado club sandwich. Today I wanted to try something different, so I ordered a chicken wrap with garlic mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were so good. The chicken wrap was good once I put CHULULA in it! Mmm!! After lunch we went to the arclight to go watch "The September Issue." I really liked it. The time went by so fast while we were watching the movie. Unlike the time when I went to go watch "Extract" OMG it felt like time was in slow motion! I still think that was the worst movie ever! Anyway, after the movie we went to wasteland on Melrose. Ive never been there, so I wanted to go. It was pretty cool. Last night me, my mom, Soleil, and Sergio went to the Hollywood Bowl for disco night. I went to Sally's and I bought 2 pairs of lashes! This is how they looked. I also tried to curl my hair. FAIL. My hair is not meant to be in curls! I curled my hair then I sprayed with 2 kinds of hair spray and NOTHING. By the time I got to Soleils house, my hair was flat. Oh well! I tried! hahaha This is us inside the bowl. This is my mom eating her $9 salad! hahaIN THE NAVYAfter the show was over. This is Sergio (the first one on the left) with random people at the show.Kenny and SergioAlso a couple days ago me, Sergio and Soleil went to go eat this pizza place. Here are a couple pictures! We had a medium pepperoni pizza EACH. I know! =/ My ass needs to go on a DIET asap! __________________________________________________ Tmrw I have an 8am meeting at work =( WHY SO EARLY?!?!?! booooo!
Today at work I was Guest Control and Ana was in Concessions. Usually I'm in Concessions and Ana is in Guest Control. Anyway, Fatima was in the box today. Fatima is awesome. She's a mother of . . . . I don't know how many kids she has, but they're all girls (I think) wait, I think she has a son. Anyway. Her daughters aren't babies, they're grown women. As I was saying, Fatima is a fierce birth giver! She's a fierce mom! She's always on to date with her makeup, she's knows the trends. She gets background checks on guys that want to date her daughters (TRUE STORY) She's just fierce. My mom is the coolest mother in the world, but Fatima she's fierce! I like talking to Fatima lol Today I asked her what kind of vitamins she takes. I want to start taking vitamins. Lately, Ive been so sleepy. I just get home and I knock out! I feel blah. So, I think vitamins should help with my drowsiness.
I'm going to give the girl in concessions a nick name. Her nick name is going to be . . . Collete. Collete was telling me about ONE of the many boys that she likes. One of them happens to work with us at the theater. She mentioned him a couple days ago, but I didn't know who he was . . . until she pointed him out today. I saw him. The first thing that came out of my mouth was "He's short!" Then Collete said "Yeah, but he's still taller than me" ha. Height is some what of an issue with us girls. The boy has to be tall enough that when we wear heels he's STILL taller than us, so we can look fierce. I guess it's true. This girl once told me, "The guy HAS to be taller than me! I dont want him to look like I'm using him as crutches!" hahaha Girls are vicious I tell ya! LoL
Also, while I was at work one of my co workers text me, and asked me if I wanted to work her afternoon shift tmrw. I said "Hell yeeeeeeeah!" So I took it. She said "I dont know why, but I like asking you first before anybody!" hahaha that made me smile =) She's so nice =) A couple days ago, Sergio asked me if I wanted to pick up an afternoon concession shift for Friday. I said "Hell yeeeeeeeeah!" So, I'm also working this Friday. I need as many hours as I can get! haha This Thursday we're going to have the premiere for "Surrogate" starring Bruce Willis. It should be exciting! I think the most fun that Ive had while working a premiere was for "Race to Witch Mountain" I was working in the box office and Sergio was my lead. OMG that night was too much fun! We were both in the box being mini perez's! We were talking about everyone's outfit, and their shoes, etc! Then Paris Hiltons mom was INCHES from our faces. I forgot what she was doing, but she had some FIERCE earrings on her! This premiere for "Surrogate" I'm working with Sergio again, and Soleil is going to be there too. Hopefully it'll be as fun as last time! =)
NOW, I've been reading IMBOYCRAZY's blog errday. She keeps it real. I love reading her blogs. Here are some of her quotes that I LOVE:
"it’s fucking hard as fuck to be a girl. now, then, and since forever! we buy creams, deal with the rationale that men age better than women and that women fall apart as the years go by…. we have to be beautiful 24/7, successful career-wise, bear/take care of the kids. we do it all."
"the one time i let a guy cum in the condom while he was inside of me, it broke and i couldn’t have run faster to get the morning after pill. that was the first time i’ve ever taken it… and the last. it didn’t feel good emotionally. i kept waiting to feel sick, but i didn’t really….maybe a little synthetic and sluggish. but it’s poison. and i never want to be in that situation again."
"TALK TO YOUR GIRLFRIENDS! REMEMBER THEM? THEY’RE THE ONES YOU’VE BEEN PUSHING TO THE WAYSIDE WHILE YOU WERE IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP! DON’T WORRY, I’M SURE THEY’LL BE HAPPY TO CONSOLE YOU- ESPECIALLY IF THEY’RE A TRUE FRIEND, WHO’S GONE THROUGH IT TOO!"
"when hanging out with a new guy you like… do your best NOT to talk about twittering, face-booking and whatever other social networking you may be doing lately (he does not give a fuck how many hits your band got or who follows your twits)… and PLEASE bitch, put the phone away … that text from Cathy about going to whole foods later can wait if you actually enjoy spending face time with another human being."
"hold the door for the girl. it’s free you scumbag."
"walk on the side of the girl, closest to the street. she’s not a prostitute, so don’t flaunt her to drivers- by like she is! also, you’re protecting her from being splashed by cars driving through puddles."
"going to target will ALWAYS make you happy."
"at one point during a french kiss during the wild sex party, our teethe klunked into eachother and my lip got cut. i didn’t realize until after we were done that this happened. but my cut was small compared to the gallons of blood it left all over the white sheets! i wasn’t having my period. this wasn’t supposed to happen. plus, cuts and blood and sex with strangers are all ingredients for a panic attack this day and age. anywayzies, back to the sheets…. dude and i wouldn’t be able to pass it off as crazy movie star lipstick either. we were fucked! he went into the next room and came back. ‘i googled getting out blood, and it says hydrogen peroxide will lift it out of the fabric.’ it totally worked!"
"Now, in my 20’s, not only do i have to worry about getting my heart broken or breaking people’s hearts- I have to worry about paying my bills too!!! "
"if you begin a relationship with someone and you think you love them, but as time goes by you begin to realize they aren’t the person who thought they were. OR they aren’t what you WANT anymore, don’t be afraid to leave."
"if your eyeballs ache and burn from all the crying you’ve been doing, suck it up you dirty dick sucking bitches and get it the fuck together! you can’t lose the dude AND everything else you’ve worked so hard to attain! so call your mom if she isn’t dead, get a jamba juice, THEN starbucks RIGHT after! don’t eat so much, maybe do that cayenne diet thingy, but only if you won’t turn into a grumpier bummerhead. sit at the 101 cafe if you live in la (order a nonfat OR soy chai tea latte-they’re unreal, I PROMISE!). and invite me over and we can do a Pilate’s video together. shit, i took it too far. but feel free to e-mail me!"
Hello Hello! I just got home from school. School was ok. So, I take a shuttle from the parking lot to the main campus at school. Everyday that I get on the shuttle I see this couple. The guy (who's pretty darn good looking) and his girl are always on the shuttle. I swear on anything, his girlfriend wears the SAME shirt every time I see her. Its a black Nirvana shirt with the yellow letters and the smiley face. I mean, damn! You have a man, you should try to look cute and fresh for him! She seriously wears that shirt every day that I see her. The boyfriend wears different clothes all the time! He looks clean and fresh. But his girl needs a wardrobe change ASAP. I wonder what his friends would say? "Dude! Your girlfriend is wearing that shirt AGAIN?!" Anyway . . . Just saying.
So last night I got a very random-out-of-nowhere text from an old friend from high school. I haven't seen him in years. I mean, YEARS. Haven't talked to him, NOTHING. So, when he text me I didn't know who it was. Then he told me it was him and we talked for a bit. He said that he's working as a teachers assistant at an elementary school. Then he asked where I was working. I swear, I hate that question. I'm not proud of working at El Cap. Its a MOVIE THEATER. My other friends have good jobs that pay MORE than minimum wage. One works at Bank of America. She's a senior teller. The other one works at a school. Her sister works at a Vet's clinic! The others work at an Optometrist office! And now HIM, he works at an elementary school. I feel like a loser working at a minimum wage job =( I know its a job and all, but still. Anyway. I told him where I worked. It turns out we go to the same school too. He takes night classes though, cause he works in the mrngs with the kids. We're going to hang out soon, so we'll see how that goes.
While I was driving back home, I got a text from an acquaintance. He told me that him and his co-workers read my blog. They read my last blog about dating. (Hello new person reading my blog! Thanks for reading! haha) This is what he had to say:
"I think dating is like going to an INTERVIEW looking for a life time CONTRACT with someone (looking for 'the one'). I hate this concept but its true . . . . So guys do go through this too. But we tend to hide in order to gain control."
I replied saying "I fucking hate interviews!'' I kind of agree with the first part of his text. Dates ARE like interviews. Some people go on dates though, to have have fun and just mess around for a bit. Others DO go on dates to find their "soul mate." Soul mate sounds so cheesy. SOUL+MATE = Cheeeeeeeesy! Whats a non cheesy word for soul mate? Anyone?
What about if your "soul mate" lives outside the country?! How the fuck is that going to work?! Are we only limited to find our "soul mate" here in the California area? Someone explain this to me. Single Californian girls, are we limited to JUST Cali boys? Hmm . . . Maybe that's why the divorce rate is SO high because people just SETTLE with whoever they find first. My friend was dating this girl for almost 6 years and BOOM they broke up. SIX years! Not months, not weeks, but YEARS! That's 6 years down the fucking toilet! Waste of time, waste of money, waste of everything. Of course at that time, you thought "Oh, this is the best girlfriend in the world. She makes me SO happy blah blah blah" Really?! THEN a girl that I work with was with her boyfriend for FIVE years, and THEY broke up! Another girl was with her high school sweetheart for 4 years and THEY broke up!
Are we supposed to learn a lesson from all of these relationships that have gone sour? Is mother nature trying to tell us something THROUGH them? Are these situations supposed to be "Eye Openers" for us? Who knows. I'm pretty scared to be in a relationship. At first when you start dating, you're both happy and everything is gravy. After a couple months/years, are you both STILL happy like when you first started dating? Are you excited to see each other on date nights? Or has everything turned into a routine? I'm scared of my future relationships. I do NOT want them to feel like a routine. Especially ME, I get bored easily. I need excitement, spunk, surprises, SOMETHING. When I was taking a marriage counseling (Psychology) class our professor said that one way to help a marriage last longer is to step outside the box and stay away from ROUTINES! I agree 100%! Let me give you a scenario:
You wake up in the morning, you say your good mornings and praises to each other. Then you go about with your day, while you check in with your mate here and there throughout the day. Then at night you say your goodnights and give each other praises again. Then the next day you know you're going to go meet with your mate. You guys meet and blah blah blah say your praises and kiss here and there and go out for a bit. Then you say your goodbyes and that's it. Next day you do it all over again. THAT'S BORING!! That's a routine. When you know what to expect when your with your mate, I think that's when the relationship starts to get boring.
(I went to go make pancakes. Now, I lost my train of thought. So, this blog is going to end NOW. And plus Oprah is about to go on in 30 minutes. She's going back to the 60's today! I really wish I could turn back time. Oh well)
Enjoy the rest of your daaaaaaay!
