What to do! What to do!

So today I have a lot of things going on! I dont know what to do! First, I REALLY want to go to the Dashboard Confessional show tonight. The thing is, I dont have a ticket! I looked on craigslist and one person was selling their ticket for $29. I emailed them, but they never got back to me. Im assuming they sold it already. Then, there's this girl who is selling her ticket for $60. I emailed her and she said that a couple of people emailed her before me about the ticket, but they haven't gotten back to her. So, she told me that if they dont get back to her within the hour that she'll sell it to me. So, now I'm just here waiting for her email. THEN they called me from work, because they need people to work in Burbank for the princess and the frog thing. I really dont want to go over there. (1) I dont know anybody over there (2) I haven't been trained over there. I hate feeling like the new person. THEN, I also have to look for a place to have my bday kareoke thing. I have to get that done soon. If this girl doesnt email me back, im going to go look for a kareoke place OR I'm going to cure my sadness by going shopping! :) OMG speaking of shopping, today is CYBER MONDAY! I bought 2 dresses and a couple shirts from Gap/Old Navy! It was FREE shipping and 20% you're WHOLE purchase! :D I love deals :)

I hate this waiting game! I keep checking my email every 5 minutes :(

Happy Thanksgiving

Today's Thanksgiving Day and I have to go to work later on tonight :( I wasn't suppose to work today, but one of my co workers is REALLY sick so I took her shift. My mom is making dinner right now. They told me that they were going to have turkey dinner at work too. It sucks because the morning crew gets it fresh, and the night crew get to have the left overs. I know this because, for the past years I've worked the morning shifts and we always had the fresh plates, and when the night crew came in there were only left overs and no more mashed potatoes. Anyway, I'm going to try to leave work early tonight. Last night was seriously the longest most dreadful night ever! If it wasn't for Robert and Efrain I would have died of boredom! I was literally counting the minutes until it was time to GO! Robert lives near my house, so I offered to take him home. While we were waiting to clock out, people who worked at Burbank came in to clock out too. I saw Harold and I offered to take him too since he lives a couple blocks away from my house too. As we were all walking to my car, the guys said they were hungry, so we went to jack in the box. It was closed inside, so we had to order in the drive thru. After we got our food, I parked in the parking lot and we just ate in the car lol We were so hungry haha I think I was more sleepy than hungry though. After we were done, I took the guys home and I came straight home and I knocked out :(

Since its Thanksgiving, I'll make a list of things/ppl that I' thankful for:

• My parents! They're awesome and I love them both to pieces.
• My brother cause he's just too cool :)
• My grandma! I love her and the way she dances in my car to the bee gees!
  
• My friends, ALL of them!
• My car! I love you bitch!
• My electronics (Laptop, ipod, cell phone, itouch, ect. Some ppl don't get to get any of these things. So, I'm grateful for MINE)
• My job. I hate that place sometimes, but it pays the bills.

I have a lot of things to be grateful for, these are just the main ones :)

It's 8:49pm now, I left work early. I just HAD to! Today was supposed to be my day off because I asked for it off, BUT my coworker got sick and she asked me to work for her. I said ok. OMG big mistake! Ever since I've been working at night, I'm usually the night lead. Since today I picked up a shift someone else was MY lead today. This certain person is so fucking stupid and needs to be kicked in the mouth. I cant stand this idiot. When I got to work, I knew that I was going to HAVE to leave early. So, before I went upstairs I went to the office and I asked the manager if it was ok for me to leave after the 7pm show since the 9:45pm show had only 12 guests! They did NOT need me to stay for that show. So, when I went upstairs I told that idiot that I was going to leave at 7:30pm instead of 11pm. He told me "ok, so you're going to clean the agitator and he's going to clean the kettle." All I thought was "Omfg you're a fucking lazy asshole!! Sindy was right!" I agreed to clean the agitator, I didnt mind. Then I thought "Wait, we still have another show after the 7pm. Isn't he going to NEED the agitator for the 9:45pm show?" He's a fucking idiot.


My grandma went to my job to watch the movie, I introduced her to a couple of my co workers lol She's so funnny haha She showed up right after the stage show was over so she didnt get to see it. I told her to stay for the next show, so she could see the stage show. I had her sit on one of the benches. When they were letting in I asked one of the ushers to let my grandma know that she can go inside. He was shy and practiced his spanish a bit before he went to go tell her lol He's funny :)


So, 7:30pm came and me and my grandma got the hell out of there! I took her home and now, I'm home relaxing! :)

THRICE

I went to the Avalon tonight to go see THRICE! The Polar Bear Club, and The Deer Hunter opened up for them. I've never seen The Polar Bear Club before. They were Ok. Yes, JUST ok. Then The Deer Hunter went up. I like them. I saw them when they opened up for Thursday at the knitting factory :) Thrice set was pretty short! They opened up with "Of Dust & Nations" and finished off with "To Awake & Avenge the Dead." "The Earth Will Shake."

I took my two co workers, Sergio and Soleil. They've never been to a show! This was their FIRST one! I saw with them in the balcony because I didnt want them to get hurt in the pit. That was the first time ever that I've sat in the balcony area during a show. It was ok. I mean, there was no pushing or shoving. It was very relaxing. But, its not the same! I prefer to be in the pit with everyone else! :) Here are some pictures and videos!

Overwhelming

Today has been crazy, but in a good way! I've gotten SO many emails in regards to the videos that I posted up 2 days ago! Its overwhelming! Here are a couple of the emails!

what's so crazy is I saw you there at the show on Friday night. I don't know why, but I just remember your face.

That show was incredible to say the least. I sat across the street, ate, drank a beer, watched the line get longer and longer until they opened the door. Then we went in. (just being lazy, didn't want to wait in line) but I went up to the balcony and got a good spot on the rail.
Right before they started "Digital Bath"... that's when I told my buddy, let's go down to the pit now. We made our way to the pit at the beginning of the first verse.

Then, all hell broke loose when they got heavy, then Suicidal came out and I just ran around with everyone in the pit. So fun..!! It was all love in there. No assholes like other shows I go to. Picking each other up, taking care of each other. Then I got popped in the mouth on accident by this HUGE dude that was exctitedly jumping and throwing his arms in the air. Wasn't his fault. But I stood at the parimeter of the pit for the rest of the show. So good....

did you see those snobby idiots waiting outside the Avalon after the show?? I walked out with a soda and all the security jumped on me like flies on shit. I was like, "hey, it's soda Men in Black" (cause they were wearing suits) and they said "finish it now".... all while these freaks were looking at me like I was just some sweaty metal head that didn't belong in their club.

I remember while Far was playing, the bartender says "dude, the Deftones are rockin'"...... I told him what was up.. haha!!

Live and Let Live

I went to work today, I was running late like usual. I clocked in on time, like usual hahaha These past two days I've been spending quality time with one of my co workers at work! We've been catching up and what not. She was telling me about issues with her boyfriend, and how they broke up and got back together. How he made her cry. Then she was telling me how he makes her smile! It's a love and hate kind of thing. Today she was telling me that her and her boyfriend were talking about their christmas gifts. He asked her what she wanted. She got upset because she feels that he doesnt need to ask her what she wants for xmas. (This is the part where men say: "Well, WTF we're not mind readers!") She feels that he should already know what  she wants because they spend so much time together. She knows what she's going to get him for xmas because she listens to him when he says that he needs this or that while they hang out. Anyway, the point is that they got into a minor argument about it. Then she asked me what I thought.

I agreed with HER. I mean, if I spent a lot of time with a boyfriend I would expect him to have a CLUE of what I would want for xmas. Giving him a list of what I want for xmas is just effortless and lame. I want to know that he took the time and the effort to get me something that HE thought I would love. My co worker told me, "If he gets me a gift card I swear Karla, I will never use it and I'll be so upset with him!" hahaha She's funny. But its true! Gift cards should only be used as an emergency! The emergency being that you absolutely could NOT find ANYTHING for that person! THEN a gift card would be ok.

Speaking of significant others, I went out with two of my co workers last night. We went to dinner at Uwink at H&H. (I'll explain the food experience later) We started talking about whether or not a girl should take that first step to initiate something with a guy. One of my co workers said that the guy should be the one who should always initiate it. My other coworker said the opposite! She said that we are in different times now, and that girls are allowed to do the initiation too! I on the other hand agree with both sides. I think its great that a guy will step up to the plate and ask a girl out for tea or for her number. I also think that its great that girls have the balls to ask guys out for tea or for their number (A perfect example of this is, IMBOYCRAZY.com! I love that bitch! and her stories! They're inspiring! Read her blog and you'll understand what Im trying to explain here) So, which one is the "right" one?! Should the guy ALWAYS initiate things or is it ok to mix things up a bit and have the girl do the initiating?! ::sighs:: Sometimes we make things more complicated than they should be. Seriously.

The reason why I brought this topic up at dinner was because someone I met a couple months ago asked for my number a couple days ago. (It sounds weird that I met him a couple months ago and he asked for my number MONTHS later. But its because I rarely see this person! lol) Anyway, the whole process of me giving him my digits never fell through because I was rudely interrupted. After that, everything just went to hell! :( The question is, should I just sit around and wait OR is it my turn to do whole initiating part? Confusing, eh? Text me what you think, since you guys like to text me instead of leaving a comment here! (Yes, Im talking to YOU Cynthia! hahaha)

In other news, I got an email today from a man who asked to use my footage from the deftones show a couple days ago so he can make a video with it. I said sure. He later sent me a link with the video that he made. It was pretty cool. Its pretty much my footage with another footage of the pit in the end. He said, "...That was the big pit that I'm sure was pressing you against the barrier lol" haha YES that was them that caused my bruises aches and pains! A couple minutes ago my mom saw my bruise on my elbow and she said "It was worth it huh?" I said "YES!!!!" Then she slapped my arm hahaha I think I'm going to take my mom to go see THRICE on Tuesday. I know she wants to go, I can tell lol

This is the part where I'm going to explain what happened at dinner last night. So, we all ordered burgers. The deal at uwink is that you use a computer to order your meal and you get to customize it and what not. So, I asked for my burger to be on wheat bread with avocado. When they brought my burger, it was on white bread with no avocado and the bread was cold and stale. I cut the burger in half and it didnt have avocado. They charge $1.50 for avocado. So, I wasnt about to pay for something that I didnt get/order. After a WHILE of waiting the man comes to our table and I explained to him that I wanted to cancel/get my money back. He said ok. All I had was water and a couple fries. The deal breaker for me was the bread! Ugh, You know when a piece of bread is about to expire and it starts to break off real easy? Well, that's how the bread was! Then I started thinking, "Eww, how long have they had this shit back there for?" If the white bread was warm and fresh, I would have eaten it. Eating white bread instead of wheat bread wasnt that big of a deal. But that shit was cold and gross. So, NO.

Goodnight everyone! I have class tmrw mrng :( But THEN Im going to see THRICE at the Avalon!!! Teppei wont be there unfortunately, due to a death in the family. But, it's still going to be AMAZING! I hope everyone out there is enjoying every minute of their life cause I know I am! I know bills and drama put a stop to some things that we want to do, but fuck it! You only live once! This weekend has been more than I can ask for! Ive witness 2 amazing shows that people would literally KILL to be at! I feel more than honored to fucking see all those artist in ONE stage for ONE cause! Love it!!

Deftones Night TWO!

I just got back from the avalon night TWO! It was incredible! OMG! Let's start from the beginning. I got to the Avalon around 1pm, there were 8 people in front of me. Cesar showed up around 3:30pm. He didnt have a ticket yet, he was going to purchase his ticket at the box office. It turns out that they completely SOLD OUT! There was NO tickets whatsoever! They were about to let us in and me and Jessica had our ticket, so Cesar had to stay outside and just wait for someone to show up with an extra ticket. Me and Jessica ran inside to get a good spot up front! We saved a spot for Cesar just in case he got a ticket! I called him and I told him to let me know if he's going to show up so I can give up his spot. He text me and he told me that he could get a ticket, so me and Jessica gave up his spot. A couple minutes later he text me and he told me that he was inside! I was like WTF! Then he made his way to the front, to where we were and he told me that the tour manager gave him a ticket! Not JUST a ticket! But a FREE ticket! He didnt pay ANYTHING! Lucky! Lucky! LUCKY!

We had no idea who the first 2 bands were! They played pretty quick, so deftones went up early! OMG it was AMAZING!!!! Robert Trujillo from Metallica was there!! Daran Malakian and Shavo Odadjina from System of a Down were there! Suicidal Tendencies! It was just GREATNESS! Jonathan Davis from Korn was there too, but he didnt sing. As we were leaving the avalon, all those idiots were standing outside trying to get into the club. After concerts the avalon turns into a dancing club. If they just knew what went down in there ::sighs::

 

 These past two days were amazing. I think these 2 shows have been the best shows of 2009. Fucking AMAZING! I always say that, but THIS time I mean fo real! It was great talking to people about the bands and music in general! People who actualy KNOW what you're talking about and KNOW what you mean! I love it! I need to hang out with Jessica more often. I love that bitch.

My body is so sore. It feels like someone busted a Chris Brown on me. Im going back to the avalon this Monday to see THRICE. I wont be in the front though :( Im taing my two friends from work and they're going to get hurt in there. We'll probably sit in the balcony. Ive never sat in the balcony area for a show, EVER. Its ok, Im going to see THRICE on Wednesday in Anaheim. I'll be in the front for that one! :D

OMFG!!!! (updated)

I just got back from the Avalon where I experienced THEE best DEFTONES show of my entire life!!! I have NO idea if they can top what they did tonight with tmrw night! OMG!!! It was amazing! AMAZING! AMAZING!!! I was front and center! OMG! Im speechless! I dont know how to describe tonight! It was ... there's NO word!!! Ahh! Im going to skip the part about us being in line because it's not worth mentioning because the show itself was just fucking incredible!

When we got inside we were the first in line, so we had the best spot on the floor . . . front and center!! OMG! First band up was P.O.D. They were ok. Sonny looked like he didnt really want to be there. Who knows. They played four songs. Then FAR took the stage next! They were really good! This was my second time seeing them! The first time I saw them was when they opened up for thursday at the knitting factory :) After FAR, Cypress Hill went on! OMG I've always wanted to see Cypress Hill!! It was great! They smoke a big fat one on stage! (I'll post pictures after) After Cypress Hill, it was the one and only DEFTONES! Shit, it was amazing!!! Chino look seksi as always! The band was amazing! You could tell that they gave it their all just for CHI! As they were going through the shows, special guests came on stage to perform with them! Ben Kenney (From Incubus), Tommy Lee, Xibit, B-Real (Cypress Hill), Jonah (FAR), Mike Shinoda, and others! Here are some pictures!

While FAR was performing there were these two guys behind me with drinking beer. This is disgusting, but I'm still going to tell it hahaha So, while FAR was playing one of the assholes behind me spilled some beer on my back because everyone started pushing! It was SO cold and the beer went down my ass! I know, its gross but it DID! I was SO grossed out! I elbowed him in the stomach, and Im pretty sure he got the message cause he ended up leaving the pit! ha OH! and omg! before the show started there were these two gay flamboyant gay guys next to me in the pit. I swear on anything they were so girlie and what not. I thought to myself "HA! These bitches are NOT going to last in this pit!" Guess what! They lasted! They were both there until the very end! Props to the gay flamboyant gays who can handle the pit!! Good job boys! :) Now for the girls . . . why do yo get in the pit if you KNOW you cant handle it!? Are you trying to be cool?! Almost in every show that Ive gone to, there has been at LEAST one girl that just passes out and security have to carry out. Its so stupid! If you cant be in there, the just dont go in the first place! You'll save us the time of moving around trying to let security in so they can get your dumbass out of the pit! Ugh.

Tomorrow I get to see DEFTONES again! I wonder how they're planning on topping this night out! Tonight was incredible!!!!!!!

I forgot to mention that while deftones were playing as I was taking pictures, my sim card got full. So I grabbed an extra sim card that I had and I put in the camera. The card had all the NY pictures and I deleted ALL the NY pics! I have them saved on my computer though :)  What else did I forget to mention . . . . Oh! So, my friend Jessica ended up buying a ticket for the first night AND the second night! So, we're all going to go again tonight! Yesterday I figured out who the special guests were, but I have NO idea who the special guests are going to be tonight! It's going to be a surprise! :D OH!! There was this women on stage right with her daughter, I dont know who's wife that was but their daughter was the cutest thing ever!! She was rocking out to ALL the bands! She had on a beatles shirt and dark black hair! She was TOO cute!! She was too far away for me to take a picture of her :) Im sure she's going to be there again tonight. CUTE!!
