Wonder Hangers!

Today I went to Rite Aid and I bought a box of WONDER HANGERS. You know, the ones from the infomercials! I needed these BADLY, I seriously had NO MORE room in my closet. I had a pile of new clothes on my bed with nowhere to be stored. NOW, I have room with the help of the handy dandy WONDER HANGERS! Wooo!

Merry Christmas!

Yesterday me and my mom went to the mall in Glendale. The parking was a nightmare! After a couple circles around the lot, we finally found parking! I had to find a gift for my grandma! We went straight to the Disney store. I wanted to get her a sweater and a couple shirts. OMG they didnt have crap! All they had was leftover shirts, crappy toys and DVDs, and the line to pay was insane! At the end of our shopping spree, I got something for my grandma, my mom, my friend (his bday is this Sunday), two of my other friends, and of course I got myself more things :) After we left the mall, we went to go pick up my grandma and we went to go have dinner. Then we went back to my grandmas house to open our gifts! She gave me a shirt (that I picked out a couple weeks ago), a SNUGGIE!, and my DKNY perfume! Here are some pictures.

Call Me Fluffy

I don't know how to describe yesterday. Yesterday I went to work in the morning. After work I went home to get Sergio's and Soleil's gift. We were going to have a gift exchange at Sergio's house and watch a movie. The whole plan was to go home, go to the gas station, go to the market to buy chips and soda, go pick up Soleil, and head out to Sergio's house. I left my house, I was on my way to the gas station. When I got there, there was a line to get IN the gas station. I was waiting in line in the driveway to get in. There was an olive green SUV in front of me. OUT OF NOWHERE the asshole backs up into my car really fast! BAM! He hits my car! He gets out the car, I get out the car. I saw my light hanging from a wire. I started yelling at him! WTF!! Does he not look at his FUCKING MIRRORS WHEN HE BACKS UP?! After I saw the damage I went in the car to grab paper and pen to get his license plates and by the time I got out the car he was IN HIS CAR FUCKING LEAVING!!! He booked it! OMG I froze. I didn't know what to do. I was standing there hold pen and paper trying to figure out what the fuck just happened. I called my dad and I told him what happened. He got pissed off. He yelled, cursed, hanged up on me. I went inside the gas station and asked the lady if she can rewind the cameras to see if we can get the license plate number. We couldn't see the license plate number on the fucking video. You could only see the side of his fucking car. At that point I was so angry and pissed off I started crying. I called Soleil in tears and I told her that I wasn't going to go anymore because of what had happened. I called my mom and she told me to go home. I didn't want to go home, because I was angry at my dad for blaming for something that was out of my control! I drove home. As I was driving home, I heard a part fall from the car. I literally stopped in the middle of the street, put my emergency lights on and I got out the car and picked up a piece of plastic that detached itself from the damage. When I got home, I parked outside and I stayed in my car the whole time. I text Soleil, and I told her that I felt like shit and I didn't want to go inside my house. Her and her boyfriend text me and told me it was going to be ok. She told me that her and Sergio were on their way and that I wasn't alone :) It reminded me of that scene in one of the Sex and City episodes where Miranda is home alone for New Years, and Carrie runs over to her house in stilettos and her pajamas to keep her company :)

While I was waiting for them, my mom showed up from work and she stayed in the car with me. She was saying that it was ok, that it could get fixed. Then Soleil called me and she told me that they were there already. I drove the car the driveway and they saw the damage. It was so WINDY, omg! Then my mom drove the car into the garage and I left with Sergio and Soleil. On our way to his house we stopped by the market to get chips and soda. Then Sergio ordered LA GIGANTE from Pizza Loca! OMG its the biggest pizza ever for only $10!! OMG, this whole time I've been wasting my money at pizza hut! When we got to Sergio's house we opened gifts first. Sergio got a snuggie from me and he got the Terminator DVD, and a 4GB card for his camera from Soleil. Soleil got a purple lipstick from MAC from me, and she got The Wizard of OZ from Sergio. I got a leopard print wallet, and minnie mouse slippers from Sergio, and I got white chucks from Soleil and Manny :) THEN we ate pizza! OH! At the market I bought kool aid little plastic bottles. You know, the ones we used to drink when we were little? YEAH THOSE!

After we ate, we watched Home Alone 2! That movie is so funny :) After the movie, we had a minnie stage show with our mickey slippers. First, Sergio did a little light show with Lady Gaga. OMG that was too funny! I was in tears cause I was laughing so hard LOL Then me and Sergio had a little waltz going on with our fluffy, swollen slippers! Then Sergio danced with Soleil! LMAO He fell so many times lol He has wooden floors in his house, so it was slippery with the slippers on hahaha After the dancing, Sergio showed us a video that he put together from our trip to NY! It's so funny! We should have filmed more haha Next time, next time!

Then Sergio and his sister dropped me and Soleil off. I swear they made my day after that shitty incident at the gas station! I have the greatest friends ever! =D

Rolling With The Homies

The guys at work almost drove me insane today. I worked with two horny, loud, hilarious Philippinos and one other guy who doesn't really count b/c he was pretty much invisible. I say that he was pretty much invisible because he disappeared half the time to go see his gf, and half the time I honestly forgot he was even there. So for the 7pm show the two Philippinos were with me behind the snack bar and the other one was at the VIP concession. When they started to let in, one of the guys started singing/yelling my name in a high pitch tone! He kept saying "Kaaaaaaaar - laaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!" VERY high pitched and LOUD! At first it was funny, but after the 63rd time, I started to get a little annoyed. I was the only one on register and we had a line! Every time a guest would come up, my co worker would say "Kaaaaaaaaar - laaaaaaaaaaaa!!!" In a high pitched singing tone! OMG! I almost went crazy! During the middle of all this chaos, this man standing in line yells out "HEY! Jeniffer Gardner!!!!!" And omg everyone in line including us behind the snack bar looked over and sure enough, it was Jen Gardner and other guest being escorted by security to their seats. What an ass! Who would yell out a celeb like that!? Seriously. She was there with her kid trying to be discreet and this asshole comes out of nowhere and just puts her on blast! Moron . . . .

Im still not done christmas shopping. Yeah, I know. Tomorrow we're having a gift exchange at Sergio's house and his gift is not even in Cali yet, it's somwhere in the middle of the country on its way to my house. THEN I only have ONE of Soleils gifts. I really dont know what to get her. I was going to get her the planner she wanted, but then I was looking at them and the ones that I thought were awesome might have not been cute to HER. Then I went looking for clothes for her and again, I thought that she might not like what I picked out cause we have different tastes. So, now Im back to square one. If I get her a gift card, she might get mad :( I'll explain myself tomorrow. Shit.

I've gotten a couple christmas gifts already. I opened ALL of them! My mom and grandma know that they have to give me the gifts the day OF Christmas because I'll open them before hahaha Oh wait! Yesterday my mom gave me Hello Kitty earrings! :) I wore them today :) Today one of our stage managers went to the snack bar and she said "OMG Karla!! I love your makeup!! You look so pretty!" I said "Thanks!!" Then one of the elderly co workers comes over and the stage manager tells her "Look! Doesn't her makeup look mesmerizing?!" At the point I started to feel uncomfortable. That was too many compliments in a matter of minutes. Then she tells me "Close your eyes, let me see!" So, I did. Then she said "Is that gel eye liner?" I said "Yes" Then she asked what brand I use and blah blah blah At this point the two philippinos started to stare at my face lol Then I walked away cause I felt weird hahaha

I have something to say to someone about something that someone told me. My friend told me to keep my mouth shut and NOT say anything . . . Im going to take his advice.

You Spin Me Right Round Baby Right Round

Today after work I rushed it to the grove to meet up with one of my friends. We went to go see BROTHERS. That movie was SO good! I really liked it! I give it a 10 out of 10! A+! I didn't cry, but my eyes got teary eyed . . . in a couple of scenes. After the movie we went to TOAST (on 3rd St.) OMG there's NO parking what so ever there! I went around the block SO many times hoping to find parking! But, NOTHING! All the parking in that area are parking for ppl with permits. After many circles around the block we found a parking spot right next to the restaurant! :) We grabbed a table outside. Everyone else were sitting inside the restaurant. I wanted to sit outside. Plus, it wasn't that cold :) We both ordered hot chocolate! :) Mmm! And I ordered "The Lemus" Its a grilled sandwich with chicken breast, salsa, avocado, spinach, cheese, on ciabatta bread. It was SOOOOO GOOD!!!! The bread was just right! The cheese was delicious! Mmm! Good! Good!

Our waitress was very nice! She said that we were brave for having dinner out in the cold :) The service was great, they refilled our water without us asking. They were polite and friendly! :) I'm definitely going back there again! Our next restaurant that we're going to go to is JOANS ON THIRD! 

 

 

After dinner we went to TARGET! Wooo! I love target! We went to go START on our xmas shopping lol I went to get 2 people their gifts from there. For the first person, I couldnt find what they wanted. For the second person, someone else already bought what I was going to give him. So I asked person #2 to send me a brand new list of goodies that they want so I can pick from that. He did! Now, I have a lot of options, thank God! haha For person #1 I have to go look at another store tmrw after work for his gift :) 

At target I bought all the bows, wrapping paper, and name tags already. They're SO cute! Im going to cut this blog short. Im tired and sleepy :( Goodnight readers!

Mind yo business, just mind yo business!

Today was so hectic. My dad didn't go to work because he had a doctors appointment at Keiser. He woke me up early so I can get ready for school. He gave me this whole lecture on how school is important and if I dont go to school Im going to end up cleaning houses, and cleaning dog shit. He's right, but I ended up not going to school today ha. So, my punishment was that I had to go with him to the his doctors appointment. I got up around 9am and my dad tells me to hurry up because his appointment is at 10am. So, I jump in the shower and get ready with the quickness. Then he asked me if I wanted to go to the laundry after his appointment. I told him that I had to go, but I wasnt going to have enough time to separate my clothes. THEN he tells me "Oh, you have time. My appointment is until 10:55am!" OMG he lied to me! He lied to me, just so I can be ready an hour before! Ugh. So, I separated my clothes by color and I put them in bags and we left to the hospital. I was going to share and explain what happened to my dad when we were at the hospital, but Im not going to anymore because other than my friends I dont know who else reads my blogs. So, I dont want a stranger to know about that side of my personal life. Does that make sense? Anyway . . .

I ended up calling in for work, to spend more time with my dad. We went to the laundry after the hospital. This is my dad wearing my ratatouille hat :)

After the laundry, we went home. He fell asleep and I started watching TV. After a while, my mom called and asked if I wanted to go shopping with her. I said ok. We went to the grove, then we went across the street to ross, and kmart. She was looking for an outfit to wear tmrw for her Christmas Party Dinner thing. I went to this store inside the grove, I forgot the name of it. But, its next to the cheesecake factory (kinda). I got these cool shoes there! They remind me of Peter Pans shoes! In the picture they look beige, but in real like their more of an Olive Green color :)

After the grove, we went to ross. I was looking at their dresses and I found two that I semi liked. I tried both of them on. I didnt like how they looked on me. They were a little too long. I was hoping they would look nice so I could wear one tomorrow. I guess Im going to stick to outfit #1 for tmrw :) I like outfit number one :) Here is a picture of the two dresses that I tried on. I didnt buy either one.

After, we went to Kmart. I didnt go inside, I stayed in the car. I didnt feel good :( OMG my mom took FOREVER! I kept calling her to hurry up! But she just ignored me! I tried to sleep for a bit, but I couldnt! So, I turned on the radio to KroQ. I was 9pm and it was a free for all. Which means you can call anytime from 9pm-10pm and request anything you want to hear and they'll play it for you. I called! I requested "Head Up" by Deftones! I didnt hear my song until 5 minutes until 10pm! He saved the best for last! :) Waiting for them to play the song, made time go by faster! :) After an hour AND a half my mom finally gets to the car!

Now, we're home :) I have work tmrw mrng. Then I have to come home, and get ready for the Christmas dinner :) Its going to be at the Cheesecake Factory @ The Grove. Im going to grove AGAIN! Oh, well. I hope they dont talk about patients, blood, and guts during dinner =/

Just Saying

Yesterday I was texting with one of my friends and he was telling me how he's tired of looking for someone (girlfriend). I also know other people who are desperately single and frustrated. One of my friends, she's so pretty and feisty, yet she's single! Her boyfriend broke up with her because he found someone else, and ever since then she's been very insecure :( I don't like seeing her like this, because she's so pretty and her personality is just awesome. Then my friend that I was texting with yesterday, he's so sweet and pretty (he prefers to be called "handsome" rather than pretty haha) and HE's single. Then I have another friend who's awesome and SHE's single too. I cant even pair them up together because they're so different and they have nothing in common. For example, some of my co workers are SO handsome and nice but we have NOTHING in common! So, I cant see them as potential lovers because if either one of us pursues something with each other we're just going to waste each others time cause its not going to go anywhere.

One of my friends told me that one of HER friends dated one of our co worker. She told me that her friend broke up with our co worker because he was inexperienced! I couldnt believe it. He's so handsome and funny! My friend told me that HER friend broke up with him because he didnt know how to kiss, he's never had a gf so he didnt really know how to be physical with her. All these things made her break up with him. Thats so stupid! She should have taken that opportunity to have fun and TEACH him a thing or two about getting physical instead of breaking up with him. After my friend told me this story I ran into my co worker at work and I just wanted to give him a HUG! lol My friend told me "Dammit Karla, I want to go on a double date with you! I want you to have a boyfriend already." I dont know what the fuck I felt when she said that to me. I laughed out loud but I didnt think it was funny inside. Does that make sense?

This Thursday coming up, Im going to my moms company christmas dinner party. This year its going to be at the cheesecake factory. A couple years ago they had their xmas dinner party at this thai restaurant so close to the ocean, it was beautiful! The food was so good, the view was awesome! I forgot the name of the restaurant, I really want to go back there again. Maybe when I get this boyfriend of mine, I'll go back there and do the whole double date shit with my friend :) I'm sure she'll be more excited than I'll ever be haha

Speaking of Christmas, I need to go Christmas shopping. My only days off this week were/are today and tomorrow. Today I spent the morning filling in dates in my new HK planner that I got for my birthday. Then I had to organize the gifts that I got since they were just laying around in my bed. Now, everthing is in its place. Tomorrow, I'm going to go through my things and take things that I dont need/want anymore OUT. I need more room, seriously.

Friday after work, I'm going to hang out with Jessica. We're going to the Arclight to see BROTHERS. I haven't been to the movies in a while. I miss it, and I want to see BROTHERS. It looks good! Earlier today I was watching the Tyra show. The first episode was about honoring black models. Tyra brought on her mom and she told her mom that to her she's the most beautiful black women. I got teary eyed, thats so cute! The second episode was about SEX. The episode was pretty pointless, because I already knew all the topics that she covered. She didnt really talk about it much, she just had these poll questions like: "Have you ever had a three some? Have you ever had sex in public? Have you ever skinny dipped?" Stupid questions like that. Also, last night I was watching "Keeping up with the Kardashians" I felt bad for Kim. She said that she feels a little pressure since one of her sisters got married and the her other sister had a baby. Shit, if i was in her shoes I would feel pressured to get married and start a family also. The crappy part for her, is that she justended things with her boyfriend of I dont know how many years. But she's a tough fierce bitch, she'll find someone better :) Ok, Im done. Im just rambling on.

23rd Birthday!!!!

Last night was AWESOME! I celebrated my 23rd birthday with my friends at a karaoke place here in Koreatown! It was so much fun! We were supposed to meet there at 7pm. I was running a little late because I went to go pick up 3 of my friends because (1) I hate taking the bus, so I dont want my friends to take it either lol (2) It was cold and raining and I didnt want them to get sick! As I was picking them up, I swear my cell phone blew up with text messages and phone calls with ppl asking me where the place was, what time I was getting there, was there going to be alcohol, where the parking lot was, where the bathroom was, ect. I was in the car and I wanted to throw my cell out the window! lol Once I arrived to the place, everything was ok!

At first, no one wanted to sing lol It was a little awkward! So, me and Sergio stepped up to the plate and we sang the first song hahaha

 After we sang, Samuel came up to me and told me that they were going to go to Ralphs and buy alcohol and asked what I wanted. I told him I just wanted a New Castle :) When he came back, he came back with Patron and my New Castle :) He passed around shots to whoever wanted one. After those shots, everyone losened up a bit lol Thats when the FUN started!

After karaoke a group of us went to ihop to EAT! :) It was a group of 14! We went to smallest ihop I've ever been to! lol 6 of us had to sit at one table and the rest of us had to sit at a table next to them.

Overall, this was the best birthday ever! I had so much fun and Im glad that my friends were there with me! They made it awesome!! Also, thanks to Soleil for the pictures! And thanks to everyone for the gifts! They were awesome! I loved ALL of them!!

This morning I had to be at work at 8am. I fell asleep around 2:30am that morning so it was no surprise that I was late for work! hahaha I was 30 minutes late! My dad woke me up at 7:45am to ask me if I was going to go to work. He asked "Are you going to work?" I said "Yeah" Then he said "What time?" Then I said "8am" Then he said "What! It's almost 8am!" I said "No uh ..." Then he said "Look!" hahaha I looked and I jumped out of my bed like no tomorrow! lmao I ran to the shower and I got dressed with the quickness then I put on the first shoes that I saw which were my FLATS! lol BIG MISTAKE! When I went outside, it was raining! My feet got wet lol Anyway, I made it to work (late) but I made it! While I was at work, I felt sick. I felt like the food from the night before was stuck in my throat. I wanted to throw up. I was talking to Sindy and I left her talking cause I ran to the bathroom and I threw up! I felt better afterwards :)
